SHS Wins Cascade Football Game

With a touchdown in the final 2 minutes of the game, the Panthers came away with a 35-28 win against Cascade last Friday.
Cascade was the first to score, but then senior Kobe McDaniel threw a 28-yard pass to junior Josh Johnson for SHS’s first touchdown. McDaniel then threw a 40 yard pass again to Johnson with a two point conversion from a pass from senior Bryce Lipke to junior Jess Harris.
After Cascade scored again, the SHS went into half time one point behind Cascade with the score of 13-14. READ STORY »
Cross Country Team Competes in Snohomish

SHS Dominates Mount Vernon

SHS Panthers dominated Mount Vernon Bulldogs in last Friday’s football game with the final score of 65-14.
“The team took the win really great. I think the amazing teamwork and getting everyone [who was injured] back really helped,” said senior player Mark Currier.
Sophomore Keegan Stitch scored four of the eight touchdowns by SHS, and ran a total of 118 yards.
Junior Brandon Jodock made two touchdowns, one being an interception return. Junior Josh Johnson and Seniors Kole Bride and Bryce Lipke also made touchdowns during the game. READ STORY »
Snohomish Loses to Monroe

SHS had another loss Friday night as the Monroe Bearcats won against the Panthers 55-0.
Kickoff was at 7p.m. and lasted for close to three hours. Panther fans and Bearcats showed up to root for their teams.

Sports Signing for Seniors

SHS held its annual signing for seniors on Wednesday, February 4. SHS sports players signed onto their college teams while posing for pictures. It was a family event with the parents of each athlete bringing balloons and wearing t-shirts from their future schools. READ STORY »
Odd game has close ending

The boy’s freshmen basketball game ended in a tie 44-44 at Cascade. It was a close game all the way through, half time score was 22-29 with Cascade in the lead.
“Guard, Zach Boswell had a great game,” said Freshman Alex Akins. Boswell scored 12 points, along with Boswell, Guard Matt Goddard scored nine and had several game changing shots. READ STORY »
Panthers End the Timberwolve's Winning Streak

In a slow start to a game against the Jackson Timberwolves Friday night, the Snohomish Panthers came out on top 57 to 38.
Jackson High school was running on a win streak of over 50 league games until the Panthers beat them for what is the first loss for Jackson since 2012. Their last defeat was to Monroe in a game that they fell short just two points: 54 to 52. READ STORY »
SHS boys basketball team defeats Lake Stevens

January 13, 2015, SHS varsity basketball team played against Lake Stevens and won with a score of 63 to 46. Everyone was there to help the Panthers beat the team, including students, the SHS cheerleaders and the band.
At the beginning, the band was playing loudly and the cheerleaders warmed up while the basketball team practiced for 20 minutes before the game. They practiced some sets to organize what they were going to do first. They also practiced shooting. READ STORY »
SHS and Glacier Peak lose tough meet against Lake Stevens

SHS's swim and dive meet against Lake Stevens was held yesterday, January 7, 2015 at the Snohomish Aquatic Center. The two teams were excited and prepared for their meet, thanks to Coach Rob Serviss and Assistant Coach Christy Taylor.
They have been practicing for about a month and a half now to prepare for each of their meets.
“All of their skills have really improved a lot, especially Coach Christy’s group! They all were new to swimming this year and they are all doing very well,” said Serviss. READ STORY »
Girls Varsity Basketball Wins against Jackson

Snohomish Panthers take the win over Jackson; final score 65 to 29.
The game started out a bit slow, but our girls came back roaring in the second quarter, leading 35 to 19 at the half. The team looked strong and was communicating well. Junior forwards, Madison Pollock and Madeline Smith, were leading in points but it wasn’t long before aggressive Junior Guard Shaylee Harwood went for a three pointer. READ STORY »
