Girls Varsity Basketball Wins against Jackson

Snohomish Panthers take the win over Jackson; final score 65 to 29.

The game started out a bit slow, but our girls came back roaring in the second quarter, leading 35 to 19 at the half. The team looked strong and was communicating well. Junior forwards, Madison Pollock and Madeline Smith, were leading in points but it wasn’t long before aggressive Junior Guard Shaylee Harwood went for a three pointer.

Soon Sophomore Guard Katie Brandvold repeated and the whole team was in sync. They played aggressively with many blocks and steals; the team was now unstoppable while Jackson seemed to be falling apart.

They suffered two unfortunate injuries and the numerous fouls helped swoosh the Panthers to victory. They played a very good game, and was very impressive.

The Lady Panthers are currently ranked at the top in the 4A Conference, tied with Lake Stevens. Their next home game is on Wednesday January 7, against Mariner.
