Snohomish Boys Take the "W" Over Mariner

In a close battle, the Snohomish Panthers Boys basketball team finished on top of Mariner High School 59-55 in last night’s game.

Although the first few minutes of the game were rocky, the Panthers didn’t let that faze them. After a few minutes had passed, the Panthers trailed 11-0 to the Marauders and from there Mariner soon found out that Snohomish was not a team to be taken lightly.

Girls C-team Basketball Wins Against Arlington

Snohomish High Schools girls C-team basketball game played a winning game last Friday, December 5.

Snohomish played against Arlington, and won 42-25. The Panthers had played two games prior to this one, and had won both of those as well.

Panthers Girls Varsity team loses to Arlington

On Friday, the SHS Girls Basketball team played against Arlington. The Snohomish Panthers were hungry for a win.

The Varsity team lost with the final score being 65:32. The first quarter was really hard for the girls with the score being 20:6. By half time, the score was 35:20.  READ STORY »

SHS's Varsity Volleyball team took the title of Wesco Champions after their win against Mariner High School on October 29, 2014. After Lanesha Reagan, the number one hitter in the state and last year’s star player, graduated from SHS in 2014, fans wondered how good the Varsity team would be without her. READ STORY »

Snohomish student earns full ride scholarship

Nathan Jacobson, a senior lineman on the Snohomish High School football team, recently verbally committed to play football on a full ride Athletic Scholarship to Eastern Washington University for the next five years.

The 6 foot 5 inch, 260 pound lineman earned All-League honors on both the offensive and defensive lines during his senior year and could possibly earn All-State honors. READ STORY »

Snohomish vs. Jackson Football

In pursuit of a playoff spot, the Panther’s football team rose to a triumphant victory over Jackson High School.

With the help of Freshman Running Back Keegan Stich, Junior Quarterback Kobe McDaniel, and Senior Running Back Boomer Vuori, Snohomish finished the game on top with 59-35.

An outstanding play came from Stich who scored four of last night’s touchdowns, running for 244 yards total. Upperclassmen and coaches are all very impressed with the freshman’s performance throughout the season so far. READ STORY »

New Swim Team at the Snohomish Aquatic Center

The Snohomish pool, the Aquatic Center, not only holds the practices of SHS and the Glacier Peak High School, but has a swim team/club called SRST (StingRay Swim Team). This team has not only one level in swimming, like the high school’s teams, but a few different groups that you can be put into depending on the amount of skill you have are:

Snohomish Panthers Defeat Jackson Timberwolves

The SHS football team won against the Jackson Timberwolves on October 27, 59-35.

With their goal of going to the playoffs, the Snohomish Panthers were hungry for a win.

“Our team is stronger than ever. There has been a lot of hard work and excitement for our last home game. We are ready to do some wolf hunting," said Freshman Keegan Stich.

Stich made several key plays in the game, among them were four touchdowns and rushing 244 yards.  READ STORY »

Competitive Skiers at SHS

Senior Boomer Vuori, Senior Callie Dahlberg, and Junior Millie Henry are competitive skiers as well as students at SHS.

These SHS students train hard in order to be successful. They train during the summer as well as the winter, putting in many hours of practice. Henry trains about five days a week during ski season.

These three athletes are very dedicated to their sport, and are wiling to miss school in order to practice and compete.  READ STORY »

SHS Cross Country team wins big at WESCO Cross Country Meet

WESCO is a High School cross country meet. Snohomish participates in the 4A Division.  Varsity teams consists usually no more than seven runners. This is an important race for many runners, simply because it could be their last race of the season. This year, the night before, we all wondered if we'd race at all.
