"Ride Along 2" Is A Must-See

People who want to have the most laughs they have had in a long time should go see the buddy-cop comedy "Ride Along 2," which is overflowing with quality humor. Part one was a huge hit, with a gross of $41,516,170 in the U.S. and Canada, and a worldwide gross of $153,262,184. It has the record for the highest domestic opening weekend gross (ahead of 2008’s Cloverfield). The Undiagnosed Disease Raging in the NW

Musltiple sclerosis continues to affect people on a global scale. MS, also known as disseminated sclerosis or encephalomyelitis disseminata, is a demyelinating disease in which the insulating covers of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord are damaged. The Final Season of American Idol

The beloved singing competition, American Idol, has been scouring America to find the greatest singers for the show's final farewell season. American Idol started back in 2001 with Ryan Seacrest as the host, and Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, and Simon Cowell as the judges, with Kelly Clarkson as the first winner. READ STORY »

The Atheletic, Academic Inspiration of SHS

Madeline Smith is a senior at Snohomish High School. She has played on the varsity basketball team all four years of high school and made second team all-WESCO her freshman year and  first team all-Wesco for basketball her sophomore and junior year. Last November on National Signing Day, Smith committed to play basketball at Montana State University. READ STORY »

SHS's Acting Star

Lily Stephens is a senior at Snohomish High School who is so mcuh more than just a student. Over her four years, she has been involved in Speech and Debate, DECA, Leadership, and Drama Club through the high school as an actress and now as a creator and director. This year, she was nominated and elected as one of the ten homecoming princesses for the senior class. She was also elected as senior class president for the 2015/2016 school year. READ STORY »

A New Seahawk-Themed Car Club

Are you a car person? Are you also a Seattle Seahawks fan? A group of people decided to combine the two popular interests and form Hawk Wheels, a new club in the Everett area. Hawk Wheels is centered on Seahawks themed cars, motorcycles and rides.

Not just a lousy bumper sticker or antenna ball, however, is enough.

Hawk Wheels was formed about four months ago, when club organizer Mike Wear, 47, and two other guys with Seahawks themed rides met at the Evergreen Speedway in Monroe. READ STORY »

SHS's New Young Conservative Club

With the new school year comes many new students and many new clubs. The newest and probably the most controversial this year is the Young Conservative Club or YCC. Changes in SHS Lunches

Although the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act has been in place since 2012, many high school students, including students from SHS, are noticing a difference in their schools’ lunches this year. 

The Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act is intended to improve the health of the nation’s children, create an environment that reinforces the development of healthy eating habits, and increase the consumption of health foods during the school day. READ STORY »

Cell phones, computers, and watching T.V., all commonplace for our generation. The 2000’s has proven to be captivated by technological advancements. The modern generation is plagued with new problems and issues that have been passed down from generations prior, perhaps creating high expectations for the newly founded generation.
