"Ride Along 2" Is A Must-See

People who want to have the most laughs they have had in a long time should go see the buddy-cop comedy "Ride Along 2," which is overflowing with quality humor. Part one was a huge hit, with a gross of $41,516,170 in the U.S. and Canada, and a worldwide gross of $153,262,184. It has the record for the highest domestic opening weekend gross (ahead of 2008’s Cloverfield). "Ride Along 2" is directed by Tim Story, and stars greats like rapper Ice Cube, hilarious comedians Kevin Hart, Ken Jeong, and Olivia Munn. They all help with the hilarious and amazing drive of the movie.

In Atlanta, when an elusive Miami Drug dealer is discovered supplying Atlanta’s dealers with new product, top cop James Peyton (Cube), is sent to Miami to track him down. His partner and  soon-to-be brother in-law Ben Barber (Heart), who is just a few days away from marring James’ sister (Tika Sumpter) and wants one more chance to prove himself to her and to James, tags along for the hunt. Once in Miami, they are joined by hard working female cop Maya (Munn). They begin the search, and are lead to cocky hacker A.J.(Jeong), who is said to be working with and have access to evidence of the dealer. With A.J.’s help, they are lead to a wealthy business man named Antonio Pope (Benjamin Bratt), ruler of the area drug trade. The must track him down and put an end to his plans. But they must first collect enough evidence to justify this to the authorities. Will they capture Pope and make it back to Atlanta in time for wedding day?

One great thing about the movie is the acting, from the stunts and action, to all the hilarious comedy. Hart gives a great, hilarious performance. His character, a young and dumb rookie cop, is always goofing off and messing up, providing great laughs. It is as if he were born for his role.

Cube puts his serious demeanor and tough personality into a stellar performance, while providing some laughs, as a veteran top-cop who doesn’t play around. Together, they are the best fit, and most hilarious buddy-cop duo to ever hit the big screen.

"Ride Along 2" also has great the cinematography. The cameras capture everything they should and at just the right angles. For example, the shooting scene at the harbor between Pope and the gang (Heart, Cube, Jeong and Munn) is excellently captured with great picture, angles, and sound.

The movie is well shot and has a solid, interesting plot. It has a well-written and hilarious script with a great cast acting it. The laughs and crack ups are in no short supply. The quality is in-the-now and great as well. This movie is great for anyone who is looking for a great comedy or buddy-cop movie, especially to fans of the first one.
