The Girls Who Made Country Songs

Young country music artists Maddie and Tae released their first album called "Start Here" on August 28, 2015
One of the albums hits is “Girl in a Country Song," which dominated local country music radio stations and quickly became one of the top songs of summer 2015. The lyrics of the song describe the emotions of women that feel that they are expected to just sit quietly and look pretty, and that they are not being given the respect that they deserve from men.
The song is extremely catchy, and has a similar feel as Carrie Underwood’s “Next Time he Cheats,” since both songs are angry messages for men from women that had higher expectations for how they wanted to be treated. These songs also appeal to a similar audience of young women.
Another hit single on the album, "Fly," was also extremely engaging. With a super soft melody and very relatable lyrics, this song's message is to never give up and to keep working towards your goals even when it's hard to do so.
One of the things that people really liked about this album is that each song has a story-like feel that the music makes very relatable to a wide audience of country music listeners. People also really liked that all organic instruments – guitar, fiddle, and mandolin – which also were used in this album, giving the music a very raw, classic country feel.
Overall, this album was a great debut to Maddie and Tae’s musical career.They are certainly bound for sucess.
