Boys Swim and Dive Team Preview

The SHS Boys Swim and Dive Team are beginning their season on a positive note and hope to keep it that way as they work hard to make improvements on personal levels as well as, as a team.

This season they have all their divers returning as well as 13 swimmers and three newcomers. The team hopes to accept more members and get them to practice before the Snohomish Aquatic Center opens.

As for goals for the upcoming season Coach Rob Serviss had a few, “The goal is for all the athletes to improve.” Serviss also mentioned that last year several athletes competed at district level despite the team’s small size and he hopes for the same success this season.

With any sports team there are challenges to overcome and the boys swim and dive team is no exception. “Transportation is always a challenge and will continue to be until Snohomish Aquatic Center opens. Winning meets is also difficult with small numbers and transportation affects that as well,” Serviss said.

Hope is in the air and it will stay there as the team expectantly awaits the opening of the Snohomish Aquatic Center as well as what the upcoming season holds.
