Mr. SHS is back in season

On Tuesday, November 5th SHS boys will compete in front of the student body trying to find what it takes to be crowned Mr. SHS. “I like to describe it as a pageant show for the guys at SHS,” Junior Rachael Kearney said who is in charge of organizing the event. Three students from each class will be nominated by their peers to take part in the competition. Students have been voting this week eager to find out who will be representing their class.

There are three different segments of the competition; sportswear, talent portion, and fancy wear.

The contestants will compete and throughout the event, the participants will be asked questions that will give the audience a better idea of who they really are.

Past participants have enjoyed the event and last year's Mr. SHS champion Joseph Proffit, said he would compete in the event again if he were to be nominated for the third straight time. Last year after being crowned Mr. SHS, Proffit said “I was shocked because a sophomore had never won the competition before.” Proffit was anxious to find out this year's nominees and has big plans if he is included in the event.

The contestants are scheduled to be released Tuesday, October 22nd.
