Q&A with ASB vice presidential candidate Corey Rogers

ASB elections are happening on January 14th. Here is what Vice-presidential candidate Corey Rogers had to say.

Q: What do you want to improve for next year, and how are you going to do it?

A: I feel like school spirit is dropping at our school, and I want it to be how it used to be. I feel like I can do this by leading by example.

Q: What made you choose to run?

A: I didn’t get involved in leadership until my junior year, but I am currently junior class treasurer. The vice president job looked fun, and I thought I would be good at it.

Q: What kind of leadership experience do you have?

A: I am junior class treasurer, I have done sports all my life, I went on a mission trip with my church, and I am involved in Panther Pals.

Q: Why do you think you are the best one for the job?

A: I believe I have the most experience because I am already a class officer, I know the current ASB officers, and I feel like I can do a good job.

Q: Do you plan to make any changes to the assemblies for next year to make them more inclusive and interesting?

A: Making them inclusive is always a goal, I will work with others to make them the best that they can be, and try different games to get more participation.

Q: What different types of social groups would you reach out to if you are elected?

A: I think the paws on the walls this year was a great way to make everyone feel like we are one school, and I would want to do more things like that. We need to get a common goal, and get everyone pumped up about something.
