JV Girl's Basketball Triumphs over Mount Vernon

Snohomish dominated Mount Vernon in the girls’ Junior Varsity basketball game last Friday.

The game’s final score was 55-23. Nearly tripling their opponent’s score, the game featured both exceptional offense and defense by the lady panthers.

The first score, a three-point basket by Snohomish sophomore Michaela Flitsch, set the momentum for the entire game. Snohomish was not surpassed in points throughout the entire game. By the end of the second quarter, Snohomish surpassed Mt. Vernon by 17 points. The lead extended to 45-14 at the end of the third quarter.

Coach Carla Dobbins said she had high hopes going into the game, planning to focus on improving the small things and making fewer mistakes.

“With only three games left, we want to make sure every pass count,” said Dobbins.
