Many people dream of seeing the world, Ben Doucette, SHS DECA teacher is making that dream come true for a group of 25 of his DECA students. On Tomorrow, the group will be departing on a six day trip to New York City.

On this voyage there will be a jam packed schedule of exciting and education events, starting with the arrival from their 14 hour and 45 minute passage to the east coast.

Their agenda includes a tour of Sports Illustrated Magazine, Time and life building, viewing performances by The Blue Man Group, Touring Shi Studios, along with the Yankee stadium, NBC Studios, viewing The Lion King on Broadway, attending a seminar in fashion design and finance, taking a statue of liberty harbor cruise, visiting the 9/11 memorial, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

They will also have free time to roam about “The Big Apple”.

In anticipation for this trip, the group has been preparing since June of 2012.

When asked what they most are looking forward to, junior Claire Ott said, “I’ve always wanted to see the city so I’m probably most excited to be in Time Square”. “DECA is a great program for aspiring salesman or anyone in the advertising field, I’m really glad I joined because its really brought up a lot of opportunities for me, and it’s a fun class to be in” said Junior Abbi Bailey.
