Harvest Festival

The seniors of Snohomish High School hosted their largest class fundraiser by simply getting into the Halloween spirit with their panther pals on Saturday October 20.

The annual fundraiser is called the Harvest Festival, and was put on by members of the senior class, and their class adviser Rob Zabel.

“This event has been going on for a number of years; it is a pretty big fundraiser and it’s also a fun event for students and their panther pals,” Zabel said.

The Festival consisted of Fall themed carnival style games created by senior class volunteers.  The games included bobbing for doughnuts on a string, searching for candy in a haystack, and Halloween themed face painting.

“I thought a lot of the games were really really fun.  I think the fishing one and the cake walk were my favorite two games,” fourth grade panther pal Nathan Ross said.

In light of enhancing the Fall sprit students and their panther pals were encouraged to attend the festival in their Halloween costumes.  Both students and pals sported an array of costumes such as                       werewolves, mad hatters, and zombie baseball players.

“I am dressed up as a kitty cat tonight.  I am pretty excited to see what costumes other students come up with,” senior Lindsey Shackelford said.
