Students and parents receive Panther Inspirational Award

At Senior Recognition Night the Parent Club recognized two senior students and two adults that have contributed to SHS through service and involvement. The Panther Inspirational Award is given out to the most inspirational people. To meet the criteria, they do above and beyond what is expected of them. They are quiet heroes. They have overcome significant disadvantages or have helped others to do so while not normally receiving awards or special recognition.

The people who were given the award, had no idea they had been voted for before hearing Parent Club President Pam Elliot announce their names. Seniors Jordan Ensey and Nick Breske were the students. Jim Price has over looked our construction for these past years, while Mary Ferguson is a member of the Parent Club, and is a wonderful substitute teacher. Ensey said, “I was in shock. Walking up to the stage and receiving it was all a blur. I am very humbled to receive such a big honor and it’s still something I haven’t grasped yet.”
