Girls Varsity Softball makes it to State

After losing Tuesday night’s away game the girl’s softball team at Snohomish High school is now taking the long route to State.

With a score of 15-5 the Snohomish girl’s softball team beat Jackson High School and then moved on to play a second game in districts. The girl’s second game was against Monroe High School where they lost with a score of 11-8. Although the Snohomish Panthers lost their second game in districts they still have a chance to qualify and make it to state if they win both of their games on Thursday.

"Losing the second game in districts was a bummer because of course we wanted to win and advance to State but we’re not out yet and we still have the chance to go, I believe that our team still has a great chance of making state because we all strive to do are best and we have a special bond which helps us play as a team" stated Senior Brianna Forsell.

Working as a team can be hard for some schools but for SHS it seems like each player is dedicated to do their best during the game and the team has a strong connection with each other. "I’ve played on varsity all four years that I have been in high school and throughout those years the bond between my team mates and I has only became stronger and stronger, being around the team is like my escape from a stressful day," expressed Senior Karissa Lamphere.
