Seniors' Post-Graduation Plans Recognized at Both Lunches

Seniors celebrated their after-high-school plans during Senior Signing Day today during both lunches in the Commons.

Students graduating this June were encouraged to initial a colored paper dot and place it where their post-graduation plans will take them. Each dot represented a post-college plan: blue symbolizing attendance at college or university, yellow symbolizing a gap year or the immediate entering of a career, and green symbolizing the commitment to the military or armed forces. Not surprisingly, many of the dots were clustered in Washington State, but there were also dots in Texas, Illinois, and Connecticut.

“It is a celebration of all seniors and where they are going,” said career center counselor Patricia Stapleton.
