Key Club Collects Phones for Soldiers

Key Club collected old phones from student, so they could send them to soldiers overseas.

The organization, Cellphones for Soldiers, fixes the broken phones and pays for minutes, so the soldiers can call and text their loved ones.

"The Key Club [congregated] together to figure out how to best serve others and these soldiers are extremely selfless in their actions," said seinior Julia Williams, President of the Key Club.

In addition, members of the club also attached handwritten notes to each phone.

"We thought doing a letter writing project would also be a great add on to show our appreciation to soldiers," said Williams.

The club collected around 20 to 30 cellphones but are still accepting cellphone donations.

If you have any old  or broken phones you want to donate, drop them off at C-106.
