Girls Basketball Defeats Meadowdale on Friday

Senior Lexi Sunagel - #30

The girls' basketball team finished with a 38-26 win at home against Meadowdale last Friday night. The girls hold a 10-2 record overall and 4-0 in the regular season.

Going into the game, senior Morgan Marshall said that "[She] was a little nervous knowing [junior] Kyra Beckman wasn’t going to play much. She is a key player for the team."

That factor didn’t stop the Panthers and they were up 6 points by half time.

They kept up their lead and took the win with a score of 38-26, securing them in sixth overall in the 3A division of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA).

"It always feels great to win but it's more important to get better and improve every game," said senior Lexi Sunagel while reflecting after the win.

Senior Samantha Beeman also reflected by saying that "This season has been so special for because it's my senior season, but I have loved getting to spend time with the girls on the team and play the game we are all so passionate about together."

The girls' next game is away on Wednesday at Lynnwood.
