Panthers Sweep Lynnwood Royals 55-0

The Panthers were successful in their second win of the season Friday night against the Lynnwood Royals, coming back from their loss against Glacier Peak last week to score 55-0.

Senior Keegan Stich, along with juniors Langdon Orgill and Tyler Massena, led a strong Panther offense that continued to slip through the Royals’ defense.

Massena was able to slip past the Royals to run the ball eighteen yards before the end of the first quarter, bringing the score to 18-0 after two more successful Panther touchdowns.

During the third quarter, junior Tristin Harmston intercepted a pass thrown by the Royals’ quarterback to run forty-three yards, securing another touchdown for the Panthers and bringing the score to 41-0 with the Panthers leading the Royals.

The second half was nothing less than a string of successful touchdowns for the Panther offense, as their morale continued to build with their cheering crowd, who were wearing red and blue Friday night to support Freeman High School in Spokane after the recent shooting this past Wednesday.

The Panthers play Meadowdale next Friday in their second away game of the season, before coming back home to take on Everett High School September 29.
