Basketball vs. Washington

by James Ahn

The buzzer sounded and both teams prepared to receive the ball or defend the opposing team. In a flash, the two tallest players on the court jumped up, but the Kennedy player was quicker and brought the ball to Kennedy territory. The Eagles plowed down the court together to put the first points on the board, with the Wildcats on their tail, looking for a chance to steal the ball. Thus began the battle between the Kennedy Eagles and the Washington Wildcats

On Wednesday, December 6, the Kennedy Eagles traveled to Washington to face the Wildcats. The A team had close victory of 33 to 27. The first half of the game turned out to be a slow crawl for the Eagles. Due to sloppy playing and low concentration, the Wildcats were always right behind Kennedy, but they dropped behind, allowing the Eagles to pull ahead at the last minute. AA also had a strong victory, and unlike the A team, they began the game with an amazing start and stayed ahead of Washington for the rest of the game.
